The Willow Glen ResidentSports BriefsSJ Giants Fireworks The San Jose Giants will present special fireworks displays after California League games on July 4 and 5 at San Jose Municipal Stadium, and reserved tickets are currently on sale. A limited number of box seats are available for the two games that are annual sellouts. Tickets are priced at $9 each, and there is a limit of four tickets per person. The SJ Muni box office is open noon-6 p.m. on weekdays. General admission tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for kids and seniors for all games, but seats are not reserved. For more information, call 297-1435, ext. 15. All-Comers Meets San Jose City College will host a series of all-comers track and field meets at its all-weather track this summer. Meets are held Wednesdays at 5 p.m. through July 29. The entry fee is $2 for entrants, and it is free for spectators. There is no pole vault event. For more information, call 288-3730. Tennis Lessons, Leagues For All Tennis lessons for kids ages 5-17 will be held at various locations throughout San Jose this summer. Inexpensive lessons and leagues will also be available for adults of all skill levels. For more information, call Laura Hardy at 277-5556. Roller Hockey Roller-hockey players can find plenty to do this summer this leagues in a couple of different locations. Weekday leagues, high school leagues, lessons and drop-in play is available at the NHL-sized outdoor Roosevelt Roller Rink, 21st and Santa Clara. The cost is $2 for youth and $4 for adults. All-Star Football The 24th annual Charlie Wedemeyer All-Star Football Game, featuring the best high school seniors from the Santa Clara County, will return to San Jose State University's Spartan Stadium on July 22. The legendary Wedemeyer will be on hand to greet the players prior to the 7 p.m. kickoff. The football game is sponsored each summer by the Almaden Valley Rotary Club, and proceeds go to the Rotary charity and scholarship programs.
