    Never had an apology

Your July 11 citybeat article titled, "Neighbors resolve Maynard Mansion conflict," stated that representatives from a group trying to block the permit sought by the Maynard Mansion owner to hold biweekly sales had reached an amicable agreement. It also stated that he'd sent a letter of apology. As residents who signed that petition and have put up with the noise and rudeness of the owner, we can safely say that we received no such letter or apology. Twenty residents signed the petition-of those, we would like to know who actually received the letter. The owner stated that he was "surprised" that the noise and parties had been bothersome. Surprised? Has he agreed to cease the noise at reasonable hours and otherwise notify residents of live bands playing. Or is it that are we just supposed to trust him?
