Rose Boutique closing doors after one year
After one year of business at 2230 Lincoln Ave., the owner of The Second-Hand Rose Boutique is closing her doors. The store, featuring ceramic figurines, new and vintage clothing, worn shoes, old jewelry, furniture, housewares and antiques will say goodbye to Glenites in September.
Owner Della Zehner worked in women's dress shops for 38 years before opening her own shop. It had always been a dream of hers, but due to personal reasons, Zehner is closing the quaint boutique.
Zehner plans on keeping the doors open through September, or until all the merchandise is sold. Almost everything is on sale and the Rose Boutique is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For information, call 408.265.2230.

Grapevine hosts fundraiser for YWCA
The Grapevine, a blossoming new wine shop in Willow Glen, raised $2,000 for YWCA programs in Santa Clara County. On July 9, Grapevine owners hosted a Champagne Event at A.P. Stumps in San Jose to benefit the YWCA. Over 80 guests enjoyed six different champagnes along with elegant appetizers in the restaurant's garden patio.
"We are very pleased with the outcome and the generosity of the guests," said Grapevine co-owner Cara Finn. "The YWCA is a great organization and we are proud to be able to give back to the community in this way."
