The Willow Glen ResidentSports BriefsPAL Football The Willow Glen PAL football organization will hold signups for boys and girls ages 8-14 interested in playing football or becoming cheerleaders in the fall season. Signups will be held July 21, 6-7:30 p.m., at the Straw Hat Pizza Parlor, 1535 Meridian Ave. For more information, call 723-3307. All-Comers Meets San Jose City College will host a series of all-comers track and field meets at its all-weather track this summer. Meets are held Wednesdays at 5 p.m. through July 29. The fee is $2 for entrants, and it is free for spectators. There is no pole vault event. For more information, call 288-3730. Tennis Lessons Tennis lessons for kids ages 5-17 will be held at various locations throughout San Jose this summer. Inexpensive lessons and leagues will also be available for adults of all skill levels. For more information, call Laura Hardy at 277-5556. Roller Hockey Roller-hockey players can find plenty to do this summer in leagues in a couple of different locations. Weekday leagues, high school leagues, lessons and drop-in play are available at the NHL-sized outdoor Roosevelt Roller Rink, 21st and Santa Clara. The cost is $2 for youth and $4 for adults. Baseball Camp South Bay Baseball presents its annual Camp With the Pros Aug. 3-7 at John Muir Middle School, 1260 Branham Lane, for all baseball players, ages 7-12. The cost is $99 per player, but group rates are available. Players are grouped by age and skill level. Roger Samuels, a former pitcher for the San Francisco Giants and Pittsburgh Pirates, is the camp director and Mark Cummins, a former Santa Clara University and professional infielder who has been the head baseball coach at Live Oak for the past 13 years, is the director of instruction. Camp hours are 9 a.m.-1 p.m. each day, and the camp features individualized and group instruction, live batting practice and instructional scrimmages.
