Around The Glen
Two sharp-witted girls help the police track a flasher
A 33-year-old San Jose man was charged with indecent exposure on the outskirts of Willow Glen on July 25, according to police sources.
At around 12:05 p.m., two female juveniles were walking on the sidewalk at Malone and Old Almaden Roads when Refugio Morales Llamas drove up to them and asked for directions, said Sgt. Derek Edwards. Llamas then pulled down his sweatpants, exposing himself to the two girls, ages 12 and 15, before driving away.
The girls called police with Llamas' license plate number, enabling police to track him to his home nearby.
Police brought the two girls to Llamas' house, where they positively identified him, Edwards said. Police then arrested Llamas and booked him into the county jail.

Willow Glen Library card catalog goes on the Internet
Although city officials recently cracked down on one late-night hangout in Willow Glen, another one just opened. Now Glenites wishing to visit the library 24 hours a day can do so--on the Internet, that is.
The library's catalog can now be viewed from the comfort of one's own computer screen at www.sjpl.lib.ca.us. Twenty-four hours a day, users can see what books the library has on hand at any of its branches. Web browsers can also check due dates and fines owed, and renew materials to avoid fines. Library patrons can also place items on hold via the Internet, and choose which branch to pick them up at.
It's a step closer to the library's goal of achieving 24-hour service to the community by 2020, says city librarian Jane Light.
