City has committee, commission openings

San Jose residents who want to participate in local government can apply for seats on various city commissions and committees. Applications are being accepted through Aug. 28 for seats on the Advisory Commission on Rents, the Community Development Block Grant Steering Committee and the Human Rights, Parks and Recreation and Mobile Home Advisory commissions, among others. For more information, call the city clerk's office at 277-4424.
