    Master composter training available to county residents

    The Home Composting Education Program for Santa Clara County is accepting applications for training to become a Master Composter. In return for free instruction in the art and science of composting, Master Composter graduates do volunteer public education outreach projects.

    The class of 2001 runs every Wednesday from Aug. 29 through Oct. 24 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Emma Prusch Regional Farm Park in San Jose. The class is limited to 35 people, and the application deadline is Aug. 15. Call the Home Composting Education Program "Rotline" at 408.299.4147 for more information.
