    Cancer is not amusing

We're writing to let you know how disgusting we found the Steven DeCinzo cartoon you printed in the WILLOW GLEN RESIDENT Aug. 1.

We have friends who walked the Avon Breast Cancer 3-Day event. The dedication of these people and the desire to raise money for the worthy cause is to be admired, yet you smeared it with that picture. There is absolutely nothing funny about cancer!

    Cartoon was offensive

Over the years, we've counted on you for a good dose of in-your-face, truth-telling and usually a good laugh. That's why we're so incensed by the Decinzo cartoon in the Willow Glen Resident Aug. 1 edition. Not only did you blow the laugh, you came nowhere near the truth by presenting the Avon 3-Day Walk participants as out-of-shape gluttons. Please, tell us the point of disparaging good people doing a good deed!
