    WGNA withdraws parade help offer

As the Founder's Day Parade goes, so goes the Willow Glen Neighborhood Association's offer to help.

In July, WGNA suggested splitting the cost of organizing the parade with the Willow Glen Business and Professional Association (WGBPA). WGNA said it would contribute up to $500 toward hiring a parade coordinator.

But since then, WGBPA has talked about moving the parade to Halloween weekend. So WGNA board members unanimously voted at their meeting Wednesday to limit their financial assistance to the weekend of Founder's Day, Sept. 18-19--although they worry there will be little time left to put together a parade by then.
