Youth Sports
Sports programs for youngsters ages 3-14 will be offered this fall through the Central YMCA, 1717 The Alameda.
A youth basketball league for boys and girls ages 7-14 will run Oct. 16-Dec. 4, with games played on Saturdays. The registration deadline is Oct. 1.
A youth roller hockey league for boys and girls ages 7-14 will run Oct. 23-Dec. 11, with games played on Saturdays. The registration deadline is Oct. 8.
A "Little Sportsters" program for youngsters ages 3-6 features introduction to basketball, floor hockey and indoor soccer. The season runs Sept. 18-Oct. 23, and all activities are held on Saturdays. The registration deadline is Sept. 17.

Labor Day Basketball
The Labor Day Invitational, a basketball tournament for boys and girls in grades 6-8 and high school junior varsity players, will be held Sept. 10-12 at Foothill College in Los Altos Hills.
Age divisions include grade 6 (12-and-under), grade 7 (13-and-under), grade 8 (14-and-under) and junior varsity, and the tournament is open to school, club and traveling teams.
The cost is $250 per team, and there is a three-game guarantee.

Adult Basketball
San Jose is accepting registration for teams interested in playing in a six-game fall basketball league. The registration fee is $340 per team. For more information, call 277-5556.
