Composting bins available for sale

Local residents can get a deal on composting equipment, thanks to the county. The Santa Clara County Home Composting Education Program will hold a one-day composting bin sale on Saturday, Sept. 26, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the parking lot of the former BEST store on the corner of Hamilton Avenue and San Tomas Expressway in Campbell. The Earth Machine will be available for $35, which includes tax, and residents will be able to buy as many machines as they want--but only 1,000 of the composting machines will be on hand.
