The Willow Glen ResidentSports BriefsHall of Fame Classic San Jose State University baseball stars of the past Rich Guardino (1974-77) and Chris Pedretti (1978-79) will be the inductees during ceremonies at the 12th annual Spartan Baseball Hall of Fame Golf Classic Oct. 24 at the Santa Clara Golf Course. The tourney begins with registration at 11 a.m., a putting contest at noon and a shotgun start at 1 p.m. The cost for the best ball scramble is $140 and includes a cart, green fees, tee prizes, lunch and dinner. Baseball reunion Those baseball players who played in Los Gatos during the 1950s and '60s are making plans for their second annual reunion. Ram Run The annual Ram Run returns to Willow Glen on Oct. 4 when runners race through neighborhood streets before heading to the finish line on the high school track. Coaches clinic Baseball coaches Mike Cummins of Santa Clara University, Sam Piraro of San Jose State University and Rich Hill of USF will be the guest speakers at the Northern California baseball coaches clinic set for Oct. 12, 9 a.m.-3:15 p.m., at Cupertino High School. Carousel to Coaster The annual Carousel to Coaster Run returns to Great America Sept. 28, 8:30 a.m. The 10K run and 5K walk begin at 8:30 a.m., and the course cuts right through the middle of the amusement park in Santa Clara.
