The Willow Glen Resident

What do readers think?

Next week, The Willow Glen Resident turns 10 years old. While planning for the special anniversary issue, staff members raised several key questions we wanted to see answered in the issue: What is the purpose of a community paper? What was the community like before the paper came along? How has Willow Glen changed in the past 10 years, and what role has The Resident played in that transformation? In what ways, if any, has the paper shaped or defined the community?

We brainstormed about whom to interview to answer these questions--the Person, the Authority who could tell us what purpose we serve in the community. Then we came up with the best source we know: the community itself.

So today, we pose the question to you, our readership: What's the role of the Willow Glen Resident in the community?

Let us know what you think. Send us a letter, and we'll highlight your opinions in a special Speak Out section that will run in the Oct. 29 issue. Contact us via email at wgr@sjmetro.com, or fax us at 298-0602.
