    Church hosts award-winning German choir

Willow Glen's Lincoln Glen Church will host Germany's nationally award-winning Kiel Madrigal Choir in a special performance with the internationally award-winning San Jose State University Choraliers on Oct. 28, at 8 p.m.

The 10-year-old Kiel Madrigal Choir is a 38-member group from Kiel, Germany that will sing a cappella pieces in styles from the Renaissance period up to the present, said Lincoln Glen Church music manager Larry Albright. The church is putting the choir members up for two nights.

The university Choraliers will also sing some pieces, but the real treat, said Albright, is that the groups will perform some combined numbers with members of the church's own choir.

The event is free and a special offering will be taken. Lincoln Glen Church is located at 2700 Booksin Avenue. For more information call 408.267.3663.
