    Rams are 4-1

The Sarinana brothers each scored touchdowns to lead the Willow Glen football team to a 22-6 win over Branham last Saturday.

The win helped the Rams improve to 4-1 in the West Valley Division of the Blossom Valley Athletic League with just two games to play.

The Rams, 4-4 for the year, will visit Mount Pleasant on Nov. 3, 1:30 p.m., before visiting Lincoln on Nov. 10 to close out the regular season.

The Rams had their work cut out for them at Branham last weekend, but clinched a 22-6 win when they returned an interception for a touchdown in the final minutes.

The Rams and Bruins were locked in a scoreless tie at intermission, but Mark Sarinana broke the deadlock when he hauled in a 14-yard touchdown pass from Justin Johnson to give Willow Glen a 6-0 lead.

Sarinana came back later in the third quarter to toss an 88-yard scoring strike to his brother Frank, and Johnson pitched a pass to Matt Morrow for the 2-point conversion to give the Rams a 14-0 lead.

The Bruins scored in the fourth to get close at 14-6, but junior Doug Dionne picked off pass deep in Branham territory and ran it back five yards for the game-clinching TD. Johnson went back to Morrow for another 2-pointer, and the Rams had wrapped up the victory.
