The Willow Glen ResidentLettersKeep dogs on leashes I walk my dog daily on the usually vacant north end of the Willow Glen High School athletic field. I deem this a privilege. I can read the signs, having had my high school education before World War II, and my dog, Muggs, always obeys the rules. He is never loose, and his droppings are always carefully picked up. That is why I consider it a travesty that there are so many loose dogs running around and droppings everywhere. Just today we were charged by two large, vicious black dogs at the Cherry Avenue fence. I hate to think of the consequences to us if the gate had been open. Well, I am now prepared to play hardball. I will protect myself and Muggs with pepper spray and other various means. What I really fear is that these illiterate types will get us all barred from the school grounds.
