New skin care shop opens in Willow Glen
Suzie Ushijima is the "Suzie" of the newest Willow Glen shop designed to satisfy women's skin care needs and wants.
Suzie's Skin Centre opened on Sept. 1, at 1057 Lincoln Ave., offering such services as facials, waxing, makeup, electrolysis and massage, as well as selling professional skin care products.
Ushijima opened her new store after moving with her husband to San Jose from Hawaii, where she owned a skin care business for seven years. Her new shop is larger than her old one, though, so she's offering more services.
Willow Glen man joins Palo Alto law firm
Palo Alto law firm Carr and Ferrell has announced that Willow Glen attorney Randy Gard was recently named to the firm's intellectual property group.
Gard had been working as a patent attorney since 1988. He worked at several firms and technical corporations, including his most recent stint at an Internet start-up.
"I wanted the opportunity to represent many early stage companies," Gard said.
