The classic tale of the boy who never wanted to grow up comes back to life on Dec. 8 through 17, in performances by the San Jose Children's Musical Theater at the Montgomery Theater in downtown San Jose.

Based on the classic James Barrie fairy tale, Peter Pan premiered on Broadway in 1954. Peter Pan tells the tale of the Darling children--Wendy, Michael and John--as they travel past the stars to Neverland with Peter to embark on adventures with the Lost Boys, Captain Hook, Tinkerbell and Tiger Lilly.

San Jose Children's Musical Theater Alumnus Andy Ferrara will direct and choreograph the cast of 150 performers, ages 9 through 20, with guest appearances by other alumni who started their acting careers in the children's musical theater.

Performing in Peter Pan are Willow Glen residents Matt Sobel, Erica and Kevin Pieracci, Holly Faddis, Julie Brown, Stephanie and Valerie Curiel, Emily Quinn and Alexandra Muller. Colette Froehlich of Los Gatos and Eryn Maybruck of Saratoga share the role of Peter Pan, and Captain Hook is played by Doug Baird and Carter Skeath of San Jose. Flying effects are supplied by ZFX Illusions of Las Vegas.

Tickets for the show are $15 for adults and $11 for children, 12 or under. All seats are reserved. For show times and tickets, call the box office at 408.288.5437, email tickets@sjcmt.org, or visit the box office at 1401 Parkmoor Ave, San Jose.
