    Lincoln Glen Little League

    The Lincoln Glen Little League is currently holding signups for the 2001 season. Players ages 5-16 are eligible, and must provide a birth certificate and proof of residency (PG&E, water or utility bill). The fee, which includes photos, trophies and a fund-raiser, is $100 (ages 5-6), $125 (ages 7-12) and $135 (ages 13-16).

    The league hopes to complete all sign-ups by Dec. 31. Tryouts for players ages 7-12 will be in January and February.

    Basketball Camp

    The Steve Barnes Winter Basketball Camp will be held Dec. 27-29, 8 a.m.-noon each day, at San Jose State University. The camp is open to boys ages 7-13 and the registration fee is $75.

    Soccer Camps

    Veteran soccer coach Dave Gold will host a winter soccer camp for players ages 5-16 on Dec. 18-22 at Leigh High School.

    Winter Camps

    The Central YMCA will host weekly and daily winter holiday camps for youngsters ages 6-12 during school's winter break.

    Camp activities include: sports, crafts, basketball, cheerleading, soccer, magic and more.

    Each camp will also include traditional camp activities like swimming, arts and crafts and field trips. For more information, call 408.298.1717, ext. 60.

    Baseball Camps

    Holiday baseball and softball camps for Little League through high school age players are currently being offered by Hardkte World of Baseball. The indoor clinics feature instruction for two days, two hours a day, and the cost is $90 per camp. For more information, call 408.866.8050 or check the website at www.hwob.com.

    Stanford Clinics

    The annual Stanford Holiday Baseball Clinics return to The Farm this year with sessions scheduled during Christmas vacation.

    Pitching clinics and baseball instruction for players ages 12-18 will be conducted Dec. 18-20 and 27-29 at Stanford. The cost is $115 per session.
