    Volleyball Signups

    The United States Youth Volleyball League is now accepting registration for its spring program in Los Gatos and San Jose.

    The coed league is open to players ages 8-14 and the fee of $90 per player includes instruction, games, uniform T-shirt and equipment. League play runs March 31-June 16.

    Teams will meet twice a week: on Tuesdays from 5:30-6:30 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9-10 a.m. at Camden Park West, and on Wednesdays from 5:30-6:30 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9-10 a.m. at Los Gatos High School.

    Lincoln Glen Little League Signups

    The Lincoln Glen Little League is currently holding signups for the 2001 season. Players ages 5-16 are eligible, and must provide a birth certificate and proof of residency (PG&E, water or utility bill). The fee, which includes photos, trophies and a fund-raiser, is $100 (ages 5-6), $125 (ages 7-12) and $135 (ages 13-16).

    The league hopes to complete all sign-ups by Dec. 31. Tryouts for players ages 7-12 will be in January and February.

    PAL Football

    The Willow Glen Rams will hold signups for the fall 2001 youth tackle football season beginning Jan. 15. Willow Glen fields four teams in PAL play. For more information, call Chris Rohr at 408.723.3307.

    San Jose PAL

    The San Jose PAL Pony baseball program is holding signups for players ages 7-12 interested in participating in the 2001 season. Signups are held Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m., at PAL Stadium.

    Players must provide a birth certificate and the registration fee of $40 for players ages 7-8, $45 for players ages 9-10 or $50 for players ages 11-12.

    De Anza Force

    The De Anza Force Soccer Club will hold tryouts in January for CYSA Class 1 and Class 3 teams. Teams will play the spring season, then continue into the fall of 2001.

    Age groups, as of the fall of 2001, are for boys and girls under-9, under-10, under-11 and under-12 teams.
