    Softball Clinics

    The Olympian School of Softball, headed up by Lisa Mize and Stacy Pierson, will hold softball hitting and pitching clinics in early January.

    The clinics, for players ages 7-18, meet once a week. For information, call either Mize or Pierson at 408.374.8842 or e-mail osbmize@aol.com.

    Little League

    Local leagues in Little League District 12 have announced early registration for the 2000 spring season. Players must live within league boundaries and must present a birth certificate and proof of residency to enroll.

    Lincoln Glen-- Signups for players ages 5-18 (as of July 31, 2000) will be held Saturdays, Jan. 8, 15 and 22, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. each day, at River Glen Park (Pine and Bird). The cost is $100 (ages 5-6), $125 (farm to major division) and $135 (junior and senior divisions).     Willow Glen-- Signups for players ages 5-18 will be held on Jan. 8, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., and Jan. 13, 6-9 p.m., at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1336 Cherry Ave. For more information, call 408.450.8502.

    PAL Baseball

    The San Jose PAL is accepting signups for the 2000 season for players ages 7-12. New players must provide a birth certificate. For more information, call Officer Kevin White at 408.272.9725, ext. 102.

    Stanford Baseball

    Stanford assistant baseball coach Mark O'Brien will host the annual Stanford baseball camp for players ages 12-18 on the Stanford campus.

    The camp will feature hitting and defense, with a special camp for pitchers ages 13-18. Camp is Dec. 27-29 at Sunken Diamond, and the cost is $110 per session.

    Competitive Diving
