"David's retirement marks the successful completion of a pivotal period in the history of The Health Trust," said Gary Allen, president of The Health Trust. "His vision and leadership were crucial as the organization grew into the tremendously important community asset that it is today. We thank David for all he has accomplished and we wish him well." Said Henderson, "The Health Trust's vision is in focus and its mission is clear as it moves forward. Dr. Colwell brings a wealth of board experience, and I am delighted he has accepted the post as chairman. He has extensive knowledge of the healthcare industry and he knows well the health and wellness challenges that face children, the frail elderly and vulnerable adults in our community. Dr. Colwell will make a strong contribution to the future of The Health Trust." "The Health Trust accomplished great things with David Henderson as chairman," commented Dr. Colwell. "It is an exceptional organization, with outstanding people, and I am eager to work with them to meet the continuing needs of the community. This is a wonderful challenge and a great opportunity to help as The Health Trust continues to improve the health and quality of life for people in need throughout Santa Clara County and the Silicon Valley area."
