Mosier golf

Dammit Run

The Dammit Run will return to Los Gatos for its 29th running on Aug. 17. Race-day registration will begin at 6:30 a.m., and the starting gun will blast at 8:30 a.m.

Awards will be given to the top 10 male and female finishers in the following divisions: open, 30­34, 35­39, 40­44 and 45­49. The top five male and female finishers in the 13­and­under, high school (ages 14­17), 50­54, 55­59, 60­64, 65­69, 70­and­over and heavyweight divisions will receive awards.

The pre-registration entry fee is $10 ($30 with a T-shirt), and the fee is $20 on race day ($40 with a T-shirt). T-shirts alone are priced at $20 and will be sold at the track on race day or in advance at Athletic Performance, 55 W. Main St., or at the Runners Factory, 51 University Ave. Pre-registration closes Aug. 15.

SJSU camps

San Jose State University baseball coach Sam Piraro will head up the annual SJSU summer baseball camps for players ages 9-17 this summer.

Specialty camps are slated for July 29-Aug. 2 (pitching camp for ages 12-17, 10 a.m.-noon, and hitting camp for ages 9-17, 1-3 p.m.). The cost is $125 per player (both sessions $200), and camps are limited to the first 25 campers.

All campers receive a free T-shirt, and there will be camper evaluations and special awards.

All-Sports Camp

Santa Clara University will host its Summer All-Sports Camp for children with a "sincere interest in sports and outdoor recreation."

Camps will begin Aug. 11 for resident campers and Aug. 12 for day campers.

SoccerMainia

SoccerMainia, a soccer skills academy for players ages 6-16, has just opened for business in the Willow Glen area. The first session of classes is slated for July 29-Aug. 2, 10 a.m.-noon and 1-3 p.m., at River Glen Park. The cost is $25.

Youth football
