Flea market to benefit homeless
The San Jose branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW)'s Project Homeless Committee, in partnership with the Emergency Housing Consortium (EHC), will be holding an estate sale/flea market on August 17 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The estate sale will include fine furniture, crystal, china, lamps, rugs and decorative items, donated to EHC by a local benefactor. It will also feature a large selection of exercise machines, comic books, picture frames, food dehydrators, a mountain bike and a dog kennel.
All proceeds from the sale will benefit EHC, which provides shelter and services to the homeless in Santa Clara County.
The sale will take place in the parking lot behind the AAUW San Jose branch headquarters, located at 1165 Minnesota Avenue, next to the Willow Glen Library.
