Gardening workshop
The Friends of Guadalupe River Park &
Gardens will host a workshop on the Japanese
art of bonsai on Sept. 21 from 9 a.m. to noon
at the Guadalupe Garden Center, 715 Spring
St. The instructor, Troy Trede of San Jose
Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services,
will introduce the history, styles,
techniques and tools of bonsai. Participants
will also have opportunities to create their
own bonsai plants and take them home.
The cost for the workshop is $45 per person
for members and $50 per person for
nonmembers. Participants must pay the fee to
reserve a spot before Sept 6.
