Chorale welcomes director
Following a two-year nationwide search for a new music director, the Santa Clara Chorale will kick off its 40th season with Thomas Colohan at the helm.

In addition to leading the chorale, Colohan is also directing choral activities at Santa Clara University and holds the position of music director at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Palo Alto. Colohan brings experience from similar choral organizations in Washington, D.C. He was trained at the University of Southern California, where he obtained a master's degree in choral music and the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, where he earned a bachelor of music degree in voice performance.

The Santa Clara Chorale offers community and university singers an opportunity to grow musically and perform regularly. The group continues to hold auditions for new talent from the community. Programs include choral music from the past and present and are performed in the Mission Santa Clara.
