Los Gatans Can-Can
Photographs by Paul Troia
The Los Gatos Community foundation set its 10th annual garden party on Sept. 14 to a Moulin Rouge theme. As has been the custom, many guests arrived in costume, this time inspired by the 1890s cabaret theme. Although the invitation did not refer to "tuxes and tennies," many gentlemen remembered the tradition and arrived dressed to the nines and in comfortable shoes. The event was stage a la maison de Madame Orla MacLean in the hills just above town. The fashion show featured styles from In the Olde Manner and was moderated by fashion show chairwoman Carol Musser.
