Quenching the Fire: San Jose firefighter Roger Smith douses a car with water after it is engulfed in flames at the intersection of Dorothy and Delmas avenues Oct. 2. The fire, which occurred around noon, threatened to ignite nearby trees. It didnÍt cause any traffic delays since the vehicle was parked on the street and no motorist was inside. Arson is being investigated as one of the possible causes of the blaze.
