Los Gatos Mayor Randy Attaway gathered with friends Nov. 15 to mark the completion of his 12 years on the town council. He did not seek re-election and leaves the council this month. Setting for the event was the brand new Hotel Los Gatos, a concept that's been kicking around Los Gatos for longer than Attaway was on the council. He admitted to Diane Ogilivie, the person whose inspiration and perseverance turned the hotel into reality, that it took him a while to get on board--but that he was delighted with the results.

Santana Row welcomed guests Nov. 6 to a reception on the eve of the opening day of the grand-scale mixed-use project on Stevens Creek Boulevard. A big fire in late summer delayed the opening, but a storm brewing didn't scare off a big crowd eager for a sneak peek at the innovative shopping/residential space that offers a touch of Europe in San Jose.
