WG coffee shop to exhibit collage art
Collage artist and poet Lori Krein will exhibit her work at the Willow Glen Coffee Roasting Company, 1383 Lincoln Ave., from Feb. 1 to Feb. 29. A reception open to the public will be held on Feb. 9, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Refreshments will be served and guests can meet the artist.
Krein uses handmade paper, thread, paint and found objects to create her abstract collages. Each work of art is accompanied by a poem. She has experimented with various art forms over the years, including painted furniture and assemblage—3-D collage—which will also be displayed. Krein has received many awards for her work in the local arts community.
