Parking is becoming ugly in the back lots
I recently tried to park behind the Garden Theater on Lincoln Avenue. Anyone who has also tried this knows that finding parking there can be very difficult. I managed to find a spot in the section reserved for Garden Theater patrons.
But apparently the parking situation has gotten so bad that the Garden Theater has hired a parking lot Nazi, who accosts people parking in that section to ensure they are visiting the theater.
Suspicious that I wasn't actually headed there, this man actually followed me into the building to make sure I hadn't lied to him. This is outrageous and uncalled for.
I don't know the specifics behind the spat going on between the businesses that "share" this parking lot, but I will no longer patronize any of them until they can figure out how to keep a civilized lot. And I encourage others to do the same.

Ticketing WG drivers outrageous, costly
One afternoon last summer I turned left from Minnesota Avenue onto Hicks Avenue in Willow Glen, as I had for the past 21 years. As I was turning I thought there must have been an accident because several cars from the San Jose Police Department were stopping everyone. Instead I found myself in a long line of cars being ticketed due to a new "no left turn" sign that dictated new restrictions on turns at certain hours.
The policeman was very courteous and firm that no, this was not a warning, it was a ticket, which cost $114, plus more for traffic school and a couple of miscellaneous charges added. The entire incident totaled $160.
After paying, attending all-day traffic school on a Saturday and putting it all behind me, our mail delivery lady said, "Guess what? They took the signs down. They aren't there anymore."
On my way home I went up Minnesota to check, and sure enough, the signs were gone.
How much money did the city of San Jose make off of us? Who feels we should get our money back?
Maybe the person who started this whole uproar should pay. Does anyone care?
