While Lincoln Avenue has undergone almost a complete metamorphosis since the early days of Willow Glen, several of its historic landmarks remain, serving as reminders of the avenue's rich past. And while the pace has picked up on the avenue, many local merchants and residents choose to remain in Willow Glen for the sense of community that still distinguishes the area from the rest of San Jose.  More

Poetry reading Hotline WGHS wrestling
Since Willow Glen Books revived its poetry readings last fall, the crowds have grown steadily. The Feb. 17 reading, featuring Calder Lowe and Patricia Machmiller, was standing room only.  More CONTACT Cares of Silicon Valley, a hotline center based in Willow Glen, offers support and advice to callers 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  More Two Willow Glen High School seniors are going on to the state wrestling tournaments after a standout performance at the Central Coast Section tournament Feb. 21.  More
