Resident appreciates the daffodil planting
I just wanted to write because I am so proud of the students that were responsible for the planting of the daffodils at Willow Glen middle and high schools, and also the teachers who helped and the people who donated the bulbs.

Unleashed dogs cause discomfort for others
It has been my experience in recent months that one cannot walk more than two blocks in Willow Glen without having to detour around people walking unleashed dogs.
The owners walking these dogs don't seem to care one bit about anyone else on the path or sidewalk. And these situations are particularly upsetting to my young children, who are walking with me.
I've seen signs posted around Willow Glen referencing a city ordinance that regulates "dogs running loose." But if these dog owners choose to ignore the ordinances and there's no one out there enforcing them, my children and I—and the rest of the public—are at great risk whenever we attempt to take a walk around Willow Glen.
What type of a serious incident will it take to get dog owners to obey these laws and the city to enforce them?
