De Mattei honored by Sunset Magazine

During Mark De Mattei's 18 years in business, he has built and remodeled hundreds of homes throughout Willow Glen.

Now Sunset Magazine has announced De Mattei of De Mattei Construction as an inaugural member of the prestigious Sunset Western Home Alliance.

The alliance provides select builders and architects with direct links to Sunset Magazine's 5 million readers. Members receive benefits like promotions throughout the year within the magazine and at special events. Members who are chosen meet strict criteria, including using sustainable and environmentally responsible building practices.

"We are thrilled to welcome De Mattei construction into the Sunset Western Home Alliance, as we recognize the best builders and architects in the West," said Lydia Lyons, director of home programs for Sunset. "These affiliations mutually benefit the builders and our readers, allowing us to provide trusted advice and recommendations from home industry leaders."

In 2002, De Mattei construction built the first whole-house remodel for Sunset's Idea House program in Willow Glen and was featured in a three-part series in the magazine chronicling the remodel. The company is now constructing Sunset's 2003 Idea Houses—known as the California Collection—slated to open this summer in Los Gatos.

De Mattei Construction is the only Bay Area homebuilder thus far to be named to the Sunset Western Home Alliance.
