Beahm a Bronco
Guy Beahm, a 2000 graduate of Willow Glen High School, was a starting forward this season as a junior at Cal Poly, Pomona. He helped the Broncos to a second-place finish in their conference and a regional championship.
Cal Poly's trip to the regional tournament was its first since 1976, and its three wins there earned the squad a trip to the NCAA Division II Elite Eight. The Broncos lost to Kentucky Wesleyan, but it marked the finest finish in school history.
Beahm finished among the leading scorers for the Broncos, boasting a single-game scoring high of 23 points. His 14 rebounds in the same game was also a season high.
The former Ram, who went on to play two seasons at West Valley College after leaving Willow Glen, is on a full basketball scholarship at Pomona.
