Private discussions should be just that
I am writing to support the woman that wrote in about the play The Vagina Monologues being advertised in some of the merchant windows on Lincoln Avenue.
It has nothing to do with "repression" or "needing therapy" as Mr. Jopnes stated in his letter. It has to do with how the world is not always a safe place for kids. Parents and children have to be much more aware and sensitive to their surroundings because there are people out there who choose not to treat children with sensitivity or kindness.

Correction
In the story about the Willow Glen residents from Lincoln High School whose work is on display in the Downtown Doors program in the Fairmont Plaza which ran in the June 4 issue of the Willow Glen Resident Patty Mitchell was misquoted. The quote should have read: "We are, I suppose (and hope!), the support behind the artist, and we certainly encourage, but I've never have, nor wanted, to push."
