Concert for the Homeless The concert, a musical benefit for the Emergency Housing Consortium, is offered in conjunction with the San Jose America Festival. Featured performers will be country/gospel singer Dana Glover, Southern rock pop artist Josh Kelley and singer/songwriter Chantal Kreviazuk. Also appearing will be local performers Tiana Noyes, Emaneht and Taming Ingrid. Music begins at 5pm. For the first time ever, the concert will be free admission. Missoula Children's Theatre "Beauty Lou and the Country Beast," a full-scale musical starring 50-60 local children who participated in a weeklong theater workshop taught by actors from the Missoula Children's Theatre. 7pm. $8-$16. America Festival San Jose's 13th annual Independence Day celebration will feature food and drink, an international bazaar, activities for the whole family and music all day long. Performers include San Jose Taiko, Lady Bo, JP and the Rhythm Chasers, ConCorazon and many others. Fireworks will take place at 9pm. A benefit for the Emergency Housing Consortium, which aids homeless and low-income individuals, families and youth. Gates open at 10am.
