Memories of Manny's

Lawyers, journalists, politicos and other veterans of the good old days at Manny's Cellar mingled and waxed nostalgic when they gathered on June 25 to toast the legendary dining spot and watering hole. The event took place adjacent to the Fallon House, which is located near the site of the beloved Manny's and was a fundraiser for History San Jose's children's educational programs.

Honoring Pioneering Women

Guests gathered June 15 to celebrate the opening of "Stories Untold: Jewish Pioneer Women, 1850­1910" at the San Jose Museum of Quilts and Textiles. The exhibit features the stories of nine Jewish pioneer women, brought to life in mixed-media textiles by Andrea Kalinowski.
