Tommy "Woody" Woodcock, a medical trainer with the San Jose Sharks, has seen a lot of changes in the field of professional ice hockey and has contributed to the industry throughout his career as a player and trainer. While he's always had the affection and camraderie of his colleagues, now he's been formally recognized with a spot in the Professional Hockey Athletic Trainers Society Hall of Fame.  More

Founders' Day Parcel tax Fourth of July
Founders' Day, an annual Willow Glen event in September that celebrates the neighborhood's brief existence as its own city, will be scaled down considerably in 2003 compared to earlier years.  More The San Jose Unified School District met with Willow Glen area residents recently to discuss the implications of the district's failed parcel tax proposal, Measure A.  More Willow Glen celebrated Independence Day by gathering with neighbors for block parties and barbecues. Some of the parties are an annual tradition, while some were brand-new this year.  More
