The area, which consists of a little cafe large enough to seat 50 people with indoor and outdoor seating, is located within the theater. This allows patrons to order a quick pizza and enjoy it inside the theater while watching a movie.

Willow Street Pizza, with its style of gourmet dining, did not match this need for speed, said Pizza My Heart owner Chuck Hammers. Instead, Willow Street had more of a traditional restaurant service where patrons could sit down and enjoy a glass of wine before or after a movie.

On the other hand, Pizza My Heart serves by the slice—perfect for the customer in a rush.

Hammers said Campbell was a natural area for his business to expand into. The chain's Willow Glen and Los Gatos locations had long been serving Campbell customers.

"The Pruneyard is one of the busier eating areas," Hammers said. "There's not a lot of quick food in the Pruneyard. There's Johnny Rockets and Togo's."

Pizza My Heart has been in negotiations with the Camera 7 Cinemas owners for several weeks now. New signs are already in place, and Hammers said the area was a beautiful space.

Camera 7 Cinemas and Pizza My Heart said they are a good match.

"The product is something our audience likes because it's fast," said Camera 7 Cinemas co-owner Jack NyBlom. "Willow Street Pizza was a different type of product."

Sometimes the wait was up to 10 minutes, NyBlom said, and people didn't want to wait more than a minute or two. They also didn't necessarily want to carry whole pizzas into the theater.

NyBlom said when they knew they were going to go with pizza by the slice, they wanted to go with the best out there.

"It's a product that fits better with a movie theater," NyBlom said.

All the pizzas will be made fresh at the cafe, while the salads will be brought in every morning. Pizza My Heart will be training theater employees to make the pizza.

"It's the best pizza by the slice I've ever had," NyBlom said.
