Attempted robbery at
Willow Glen market
A robbery attempt on a Willow Glen Way market July 26 failed when the cashier was too nervous to open the cash drawer.
The perpetrator entered the market at 450 Willow Glen Way at 8:41 a.m., demanding money from the cashier. But when she couldn't open the cash drawer because of a case of nerves, the discouraged robber fled the store empty-handed.
The cashier provided a description to police, who searched a nearby residential area, but the man had escaped.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 6 feet tall and weighing 170 pounds, with black hair tied back in a ponytail.

Barons chronicles 10 years in the life of the fictional softball team The Barons. Though the team's manager, Tommy Folgett, has had a lifetime of setbacks and disappointments, he takes pride in managing a great softball team, whose players are more like family than teammates. But things begin to unravel when Tommy's envy over the life successes of his teammate and housemate, Honus, threatens to destroy the team.
The Legendary Barons is Vaughn's third novel from Deadend Street Press. His other novels are Gabriella's Voice and Frosted Glass.
