| A weekend of activities highlighting the Surf Culture exhibit at the San Jose Museum of Art was preceded on the evening of Aug. 15 by a preview party for the exhibit. Surfers, artists who have created the art of the surf culture, and museum supporters gathered in the museum to enjoy surfer grub, liquid refreshment and music--both the surfer variety and the Polynesian style. Guests happily donned beach attire for the occasion. |

| Members of Grandview League are in the home stretch with their gala fundraiser, the Cattle Baron's Ball, set for Sept. 20. That's why they took time out Aug. 9 to give their undivided attention to their youngsters, who know better than anyone how much time and energy the ball requires of the volunteers who make it all happen. The party, complete with food and costumes and pony rides, took place at Saratoga's Wildwood Park. |
