The Guglielmo Family Winery was the setting Aug. 28 for a barbecue recognizing the efforts of those who contributed to the success of this year's Medici Masked Ball in May. The annual gala is presented by the County of Santa Clara/Province of Florence, Italy, Sister County Commission.

A Ringo Starr-y night

It was an evening under the stars when Montalvo celebrated the end of summer with a fundraising gala Sept. 4. On stage following the gala was Ringo Starr and his All-Starr Band. The event raised some $100,000 for all of Montalvo's arts programs, including its outreach program.
