Lacrosse clinic

Girls Lacrosse of San Jose will hold an introductory clinic on Nov. 16 at the Kirk Community Center, 1601 Foxworthy Ave. The clinic will run from 13 p.m. for middle school girls and 34:30 p.m. for high school girls.

Lacrosse, a non-contact sport played with webbed sticks, is relatively new in this area. Leland is one of the few area schools to field a girls team, and the San Jose Extreme is a team that was formed for girls in grades five through eight. Former Leland coach Michelle Reiss and Extreme coach Jessica Paige will lead the Saturday clinic.

The cost is $10 and equipment will be provided. For more information, visit www.sjextreme.org or email John Fensterwald at john@sjextreme.org.
