| Many who attended "Shanghai 1930s," the Nov. 1 fundraiser for the Chinese Historical and Cultural Project, responded to the invitation to come dressed in attire reminiscent of the theme. The gala evening featured dining, dancing, a silent auction and an exhibition of ballroom dancing. Awards were given to Dr. Michael Chang, Chinese Legacy; the Larry Chu Family, Dynasty Award; Fred Chan, Business Leadership, Tally Liu, Business Leadership; and Chi Am Circle, Community Service. |

| The Mountain Winery in Saratoga was the setting Oct. 25 for "Harvest in the Sky," the first of what owners hope will be an annual event in support of the Mountain Winery Kids Foundation. The evening featured wine tasting, food, entertainment and live and silent auctions. |
