Volleyball sign-ups

The United States Youth Volleyball League is now holding registration for the spring recreational season. The coed league is open to boys and girls ages 8­14 and the season will run for eight weeks from mid-April to June. Games and practices are held at Kirk Park.

The USYVL is an instructional league that features a fun, safe, supervised, low-pressure environment. All children play and learn the game.

Resolution Run

Runners can start the new year off right by taking part in the annual Los Gatos Resolution Run on New Year's Day.

The 5-mile run begins at 9 a.m. on Jan. 1 on the Los Gatos High School track and the course goes up to Lexington Reservoir and back. The registration fee of $30 includes a long-sleeved T-shirt and the fee is $15 without the T-shirt. For more information, call 408.354.7365.

The Los Gatos All-Comer Track and Field winter series will run Saturdays from Jan. 10 through Feb. 28 at the high school's all-weather track. The cost is $4 for unlimited events or $2 for spectators.
