Staff member thanks the paper for its help

I hope you had a great holiday because we at Sub-Acute Saratoga had the most blessed ones. Thanks to the Willow Glen Resident a miracle happened on Dec. 23 at 11:30 a.m. on Sousa Avenue amid the cold and wet weather, and the newspaper made it happen.

My patient Florencio Bernal had his one and only Christmas wish come true. And in very short notice your paper arranged to have his wish fulfilled.

San Jose Officer Moses Barreras, a police office with the San Jose Horse Mounted and Parks Enforcement Unit, was also very responsive to the need of this unfortunate teenager. Flo was very surprised and I know if he could just move, he would be jumping out of his wheelchair to hug the officers and ride on those big, beautiful horses.

No words could possibly describe the joy and happiness of all who witnessed this miracle. I believe in the power of the news media and the community they represent.

More power to you and to all at SVCN and the Willow Glen Resident newspaper.
