It's a rare evening's entertainment that offers performances of a variety of music and dance, with champagne, wine and gourmet food on the menu, all for under 20 bucks. Plus, to sweeten the deal even further, the evening in question not only offers a chance to acquire one-of-a-kind items in a silent auction, but the opportunity to help support almost two dozen South Bay arts organizations, making the ticket price of $15 per person quite the bargain indeed.
This great deal is "Arts Panorama," the second annual gala fundraiser of the Silicon Valley Arts Coalition, which takes place Jan. 30 at Le Petit Trianon in downtown San Jose. The coalition is a nonprofit organization made up of 21 small-budget local arts groups. The Silicon Valley Arts Coalition was formed nearly three years ago with the mission to increase these groups' visibility and expand their audiences.
Six member organizations will perform: the American Harp Society, San Jose Music Study Club & AGO, San Jose Symphonic Choir, Nova Vista Symphony, San Jose Wind Symphony and Dimension Performing Arts.
The Silicon Valley Arts Coalition presents a gala fundraiser, Arts Panorama, Jan. 30 at 6:30 p.m. at Le Petit Trianon, 72 N. Fifth St., San Jose. Tickets are $15. For more information, call 408.251.8440 or www.svarts.org.
