Santa Clara Family Health Foundation has received a $1.6 million grant from FIRST 5 to fund its Healthy Kids health-care insurance program. The grant will cover the costs of providing Healthy Kids coverage for children from birth through age 5 from January to June 2004.

The Healthy Kids program insures children from birth to 19 years old who do not meet the eligibility criteria for the Medi-Cal program and who cannot afford other health-care coverage.
