Track meet

The San Jose City-Wide Youth Track Meet for boys and girls ages 9­14 will be held May 23, 8 a.m.­3 p.m., at Evergreen Valley High School. The meet will include running and field events. There is no entry fee.

Rams golf tourney

The 11th annual Willow Glen Rams Booster Club golf tournament will be held June 8 at the Spring Valley Golf Course in Milpitas. The tourney begins with a 2 p.m. shotgun start.

The $125 entry fee includes "a great dinner," says tournament director Bob Parker. All proceeds from the event benefit the athletic program at Willow Glen.

Kiwanis golf tourney

The Almaden Valley Kiwanis will host a Youth Charities Golf Tournament on May 7 on the tournament course at the Coyote Creek Golf Course. Registration begins at 11 a.m. on the day of the tourney with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. in the 4-person scramble event.

The registration fee of $140 per player includes green fees, a cart, a box lunch, dinner, awards and a raffle. Awards will be presented to the team winner and for special events including longest drive, closest-to-the-pin, a putting contest and Las Vegas Circle.

Proceeds from the tourney will provide six $1,000 Turnaround Scholarships, presented by the Almaden Valley Kiwanis to students who have overcome major difficulties to graduate from high school.

Summer swimming

The summer swimming program for Osprey Aquatics will run June 1 through Aug. 8 at the Willow Glen Middle School pool. Swimmers ages 6­18 of all ability levels, from beginning to advanced, are welcome. For more information, visit www.osprey aquatics.com or call 408.268.4379.

Golf tourney

The first annual golf tournament to benefit the Santa Clara University men's soccer team will be held at the Cinnabar Hills Golf Club in San Jose on May 18, with a shotgun start set for 1:30 p.m.

The tournament will be followed by a dinner, awards ceremony, auction and raffle held inside the banquet room at the golf course. The $250 registration fee includes green fees and cart, range balls, lunch and dinner. The cost is $50 for dinner only.
